Ritmolux

A music visualizer that listens to whatever you are playing, and draws to it.

Ritmolux runs as a standalone app on Windows and macOS, or as a foobar2000 component. It reads the audio, not a file — so it draws to a browser tab, a game, or a music player just the same. Every look it ships is a preset: a text file you can open, read, and change.

One frame from each rendering system. Every one of them is a preset.

Get it and run it

Pick a download, unzip it, and run it — Start here says which build you want and what the first launch looks like on each platform. Nothing installs into the system.

Author presets

A preset is a text file. Start with the illustrated preset guide, reach for the expression language when a value should follow the music, and keep the parameter roster open beside it — every named parameter of every rendering system, searchable.
